This review synthesizes over a decade of rigorous evidence (2010–2024), using experimental and quasi-experimental methods to examine:
• The economic and social impacts of forced displacement on host communities
• The effectiveness of policies supporting both displaced populations and hosts

Key findings include:
✔️ Displacement inflows have neutral effects on host employment overall
✔️ Inclusive social protection and right-to-work policies improve cohesion and outcomes
✔️ Cash transfers paired with self-reliance efforts drive sustained well-being
✔️ Mental health support is critical for recovery
