Congratulations to graduating PDRI Fellows!

We wish the graduating PDRI Fellows the best in their next steps as they leave the University of Pennsylvania and take the next step in their careers.

Below, we highlight the following graduating PDRI Fellows and their placements for next year.

Alejandro Sánchez, recent graduate of the economics PhD program, will pursue a one-year postdoc at NYU’s Development Research Institute. In the Fall 2022, he will join Emory’s QTM Department as an Assistant Professor.

Jonah Rexer graduated in May with a PhD in Applied Economics. He will join the Empirical Studies of Conflict program at the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs as a Postdoctoral Associate in the fall.

Sumitra Badrinathan, recent graduate of the PhD program on Political science, will join Reuters Institute and the Department of Politics and International Relations at the University of Oxford as a postdoctoral research fellow.

PDRI Visiting Fellow Pablo Balan, will be joining Tel Aviv University as Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in the School of Political Science, Government, and International Affairs in January 2022.

Gabrielle Vasey, a recent graduate of the economics PhD program, has started as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Evidence for Policy Design (EPoD) at the Harvard Kennedy School. She will begin as an Assistant Professor at Concordia in June 2022.

Jasmine Blanks Jones graduated with a PhD in Africana Studies and Education, has joined the Johns Hopkins University Program in Racism, Immigration, and Citizenship for a three year postdoctoral fellowship.
