Applications are open for PGRI: Galápagos Education and Research Alliance (GERA)

January 2025
The Galápagos Education and Research Alliance (GERA) is a partnership originally forged between Galapagueños and students and faculty at the University of Pennsylvania, Villanova University, and Rutgers University. Historically, the institute has addressed crucial issues facing the Galápagos, including science, education, and conservation initiatives, by partnering with the people of the Galápagos, especially the community of Puerto Baquerizo Moreno on San Cristóbal Island. In 2025, the program is expanding its partnerships to work with communities in the mountains of the Ecuadorian mainland and on the pacific coast of Guatemala.
