Forced Displacement Working Group Meeting #5

This convening of the Forced Displacement Working Group brings together researchers and practitioners to examine how shifts in the global funding landscape are shaping policy and programmatic responses to forced displacement. The discussion centers on pressing themes such as:

  • The impacts of cuts to foreign aid

  • Cost effectiveness and cost efficiency in humanitarian response

  • Promoting self-reliance among displaced populations

The full-day program features three thematic panels, Measuring Mobility, Displacement Research in a Changing Landscape, and Self-Reliance, as well as a Teach-In on Cost-Effectiveness Analysis and a series of lightning talks highlighting new evidence, data platforms, and funding opportunities. The meeting concludes with a collaborative session on planning next steps for the Working Group’s 2026 agenda.
