Migration and displacement are reshaping communities across the globe, driven by climate change, conflict, governance failures, and economic shocks. PDRI-DevLab investigates these dynamics to understand not just why people move, but also how displacement affects livelihoods, institutions, and social cohesion.
Our work includes:
Identifying the drivers of migration and forced displacement across Africa, South Asia, and Latin America.
Evaluating reintegration programs for deported migrants and displaced persons.
Assessing interventions to combat human trafficking and exploitation.
Studying social cohesion and refugee–host relations in fragile contexts.
Our projects combine field experiments, large-scale surveys, and qualitative research with partnerships including IOM, UNHCR, IPA, and national governments.
