PDRI Webinar: “Learning in a time of Covid-19: Emerging research from low- and middle- income countries”
Date: February 15th 2022, 10:00-11:00 AM ET
The COVID-19 pandemic has posed dramatic challenges to education systems around the world. Systems in low- and middle-income countries have faced particular challenges, with few resources, low levels of learning before the pandemic, and many children lacking the basic infrastructure needed to engage in remote learning.
The Penn Development Research Initiative (PDRI) is pleased to announce a webinar highlighting emerging research by PDRI affiliates on the effects of Covid-19 on education in low- and middle- income countries.
Jere Behrman will provide an overview of the costs of Covid-19 related school closures in low- and middle- income countries. Sharon Wolf will present new research on how school closures amid the pandemic exacerbated existing schooling inequalities in Ghana. A 10-minute Q&A will follow the presentations.
