Santosh Anagol
Santosh Anagol is an Associate Professor in the Business Economics and Public Policy Department at Wharton. His research focuses on financial and political issues in emerging markets. In the finance area, his work has focused on the development of formal (mutual funds, stocks, life insurance) and informal (livestock) household financial markets.
Much of this work either evaluates recent financial market policy reforms or understands how limited rationality impact financial decision making. His work on politics focuses on electoral dynamics. His teaching focuses on economic regulation and causal inference. He received his PhD from Yale University in 2009 and his undergraduate degree from Stanford in 2002, and was a Fulbright Scholar to India in 2002-2003.
